with enthusiasts from all over the world.This was the second album I'd heard of Paco, and I was introduced to it while I was in Almeria in 1970.His first album with Ricardo Modrego is also a classic,aligned with the great Sabicas and Escudero album on Montilla.This guy thinks with his hands and his heart.Paco's recordings yet though I was 15 years old back then and loved flamenco and played the guitar since I was about 11.Paco later and other younger guitarists that followed him.The Fabulous Guitar of Paco de Lucia
He plays so wonderfully it stirs all your emotions!With Camaron, Tomatito and Carles Benavent, a really good song.With the cantaor Rafael Ortega, recorded on 1964.From the abum Solo Quiero Caminar It has the nicest tremolos I have
ever heard.With Camaron and Tomatito, dedicated to La Perla de Cadiz a well know
flamenco singer.With Ricardo Modrego, it was one of his first recordings.Similar to Almoraima but with Camaron and Ramon de Algeciras.His father Antonio
and his brother Ramon gave him the first lessons on guitar when Paco was five
years old.In 1959 he obtains the special award in the Festival Concurso
Internacional Flamenco de Jerez
de la Frontera.He records two
albums with Ricardo Modrego in 1965, with popular themes
from Garcia Lorca and three records with his brother Ramon de Algeciras.He
records,accompanying singing of A.Cante Flamenco,
accompanying also to Lebrijano and he collaborates on recording with the jazz
saxophonist, Pedro
Iturralde.In 1973 he records Fuente y
Caudal included the famous hit "Entre
dos Aguas" that will make him famous.He keeps in
contact with Chick Corea since 1982, which will be the beginning of a fruitful
collaboration between the
two players.The
sextet won't come
back to the spotlight until 1991 including Manuel Soler as flamenco dancer and
percussionist.With the release of the record Siroco (1987) Paco reaches unsuspected results,
since it implies the
culmination of his aesthetic ideals.In 1991 he records with Orquesta de
Cadaques Concierto
de Aranjuez from J.In 1996, 13 years after their first meet, he gets together with Al di Meola and
John McLaughlin and record an album: The Guitar Trio, which is followed by a
