Sara Lynn and her Acoustic Trio to perform a showcase set at the Basement Nashville
February 2, 2008
Steeljack recording artist Sara Lynn and her acoustic trio will perform a public showcase at The Basement Nashville – 1604 8th Avenue S• Nashville, TN – on Monday March 3rd 2008 at 5:30pm with a “meet and greet” session afterwards. This event is free of charge and everyone is welcome including the general public as well as all Radio/Rep/Label/Industry personnel.
Thing for You, Sara Lynn’s debut album, is the introduction of a woman sharing her passion for life, independent spirit, and sense of humor. Inside the album are some nostalgic and catchy songs, but it also delves a little deeper into some more poignant personal life experiences.
“Some travel the paved and elevated road in a hurry to meet their destination, not wanting to stop and appreciate the surroundings. Others, more sentimental and wandering hearts, prefer the dusty and dirty side roads that lead to mysterious but wonderful scenic views where the senses can reach out and absorb the world around them. It is pretty obvious that Sara Lynn has chosen the latter and the music world is a better place for it… Pure Heart…Pure Passion…All Soul…” Kenneth Deville (InSite Magazine – Austin, TX)
Traditional fiddle and pleasantly unexpected accordion instrumentation nicely round out the line up of obviously talented and seasoned musicians on this album. Sara Lynn’s ballsy vocal captures the dynamics of a Stevie Nicks with the ‘cheeky but cool country’ sound of a Dwight Yoakam.
“Getting the chance to see Sara Lynn in concert live, you will quickly realize she is just a down to earth, highenergy individual who loves life and loves to perform. If you like roots based music flavored with a touch of blues, country, rock and even bluegrass, then you will love what this singer/songwriter has to offer on her debut CD – it’s a hidden gem!” Todd Ostrowercha (Steeljack Music Group)
Thing For You was released to Americana and Country radio on January 8th, 2008 and is currently being promoted by Bill Wence and Jan Woods, both based out of Nashville. To support her debut album release, Sara will make several concert appearances in 2008 throughout North America.
Join Sara Lynn with her Trio for some great live acoustic entertainment at The Basement Nashville on March 3rd at 5:30pm. Sara will be available afterwards to chat and sign autographs. For information, please call 604.328.4621 or visit Sara Lynn’s official website at www.saralynnband.com.
